Well Placed FAQ’s

Why work with Well Placed?

Everyone has their own reason to hire a professional organizer or coach and we understand that it can be a daunting and overwhelming consideration. Whatever the task, Bree has the knowledge and experience to break it down into manageable pieces to optimize your success. Plus, she’s super friendly, easy to work with, and has your best interest at heart.

What’s the process to get started?

We’ll start with a 15 minute complimentary phone conversation to determine your needs & be sure we’re a good match. From there we’ll make a plan based around your specific goals.

What is a Professional Organizer?

The role of a Professional Organizer is to design systems, processes and solutions to help you to manage your environment and time more effectively.

What should I expect for organizing sessions?

Gentle direction & questions around why your holding onto particular items, where/how to store them or if it’s time to let them go. There is zero pressure, only open conversation, the final decision on what to do always rests in your hands.

We ask that you avoid the temptation to clean up before we have the chance to see your spaces. Seeing it in it’s typical manner helps us to understand your needs better & allows us to offer the best possible solutions. Don’t worry, you will not be judged; Well Placed is a professional organizing company and we’ve seen it all before.

We also request that you don’t purchase and organizing systems/tools ahead of time. We aim to use what you have in your home first (you may be surprised what you actually have when we dive into it!) so hold off & we can recommend things as we move forward if needed.

What should I expect for coaching sessions?

We start of diving deep into the life of you. We’ll explore your existing methods, you’ll have the opportunity to experiment with new things & create new paths to help you achieve your goals. Every client is different. This is not a one-size-fits-all service, it’s completely based around our discussions & assessments along the way. Our forward motion will be based specifically your growth.

It’s important to emphasize that our relationship must be based on mutual trust and respect. Coaching is a big commitment for us both so it’s important that we both show up fully for our sessions together. Equally important, the ‘homework’ between sessions needs to be completed so you’ll gain the full benefit of our work together. Rest assured, it’s not a burdensome amount, just enough to keep the momentum flowing so progress is made little by little as we move along.

Are you a certified Life coach?

Nope! While Bree’s been trained as a productivity consultant, she coaches mainly from real life experience from her years of helping others. Over the years it’s become evident that professional organizing is SO MUCH MORE than what it sounds like on the surface. Most of the work is the tender pieces of reflecting on lives lived & working towards building future goals and dreams.

Bree is obsessed with personal growth and has read just about every book you can imagine on mindset & productivity, and she’s experimented with all kinds of methods to explore their impacts. She has and incredibly positive outlook on life, and wants nothing more than to share the lessons she’s learned to make the biggest impact possible on those around her.

I don’t use Facebook, will I be missing out in The Big Game of Life if I don’t participate?

We get it, Facebook isn’t for everyone so we’ve made this 100% optional. We won’t be posting any new or necessary information through Facebook so you won’t be missing out on any content should you pass on this option. We’ve found that approximately 50% of the players have been interested in this part of the game and it has been used as an extra tool for those who are looking for community to help keep them motivated, share pictures, and to cheer each other on. ZERO PRESSURE!

What is the difference between playing privately vs opting into the group competition for The Big Game Of Life?

All aspects of the game are the same with the exception of an extra tool available to those who are motivated by competition. Each player has the opportunity to fill in a weekly scorecard from which we will track their progress. Each Monday morning we’ll post the top 3 players of the week as well as the cumulative top 3 players of the game. Participating is not a necessary part of the game, it is just a bit of extra fun for those who are interested :)

I want to give The Big Game of Life as a gift to someone. How do I do that?

We LOVE the idea of experience gifts - they’re the best! Shoot as an email (here) & we’ll happily get you sorted. We do require the participant to fill in the form themselves once you’ve gifted it to them so we have their info directly, so please leave that to them. But you can pay for it in advance & we’ll give you a discount code for them so they don’t get charged anything when they officially sign up. Talk soon!

Anything else I should know?

Please be assured that our working together is completely confidential and your information will not be shared without your permission. We appreciate how very intimate and often emotional this work can be, please know that we’ll go at your pace & we are here to help every step of the way. Our goal is to make long term, sustainable changes which works best when we’re on the same page.
